New ATL Eats
It seems like everywhere I look Atlanta is getting new trendy restaurants with insta-worthy food. Here is a list of restaurants that are on my list to try!
Located at the shops around Lenox, this new spot features healthy hippie meals that will leave you feeling full and satisfied. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, paleo, or just hungry, check out Flower Child to nourish your mind, body and soul.
Mission and market
Also in Buckhead, this new contemporary American eatery places a vibrant, inspired menu. Featuring a bar and lounge area, a private chef’s counter, and an expansive outside wrap around patio, this west coast inspired american fare is a must try.
Just opened in July, it’s already the place to hit for dinner and drinks and plans to keep the suburban city’s new dining vibe alive. The kitchen is lead by chef Taylor Neary (Marcel, St. Cecilia).
Situated in the Powers Plaza in Doraville, Tortas Factory serves more than just tortas on its menu, there’s also tacos, huaraches, sopes, and taquitos.
El Super Pan
Chef-owner Hector Santiago opened the second location of his Ponce City Market (PCM) Latin sandwich bar El Super Pan at Battery Atlanta in July. The greatly-expanded Battery location offers a similar menu, which stars the Cubano Mixto pressed sandwich with roasted pork, ham, salami, and Swiss and his mofongos—mashed, fried plantains.
The Savannah-based Zunzi’s Takeout is now open on Howell Mill Road near Collier Road. And, its South African-style sandwiches are still some of the best in the country.
There was a time when Gu’s Bistro was the Sichuan staple on Buford Highway, but that ended when the restaurant closed in March 2015. In its place is Masterpiece, which has received rave reviews from critics- calling it “the best Chinese food in the Atlanta area.”
